What do I use airbrush stencils for?

The stencils are a tool to help you paint with brush and airbrush.
Simply select predefined sizes and motifs, place them on the desired location, apply paint - done.

From eyebrow contouring to airbrush tattoos, from patterns in body painting to complete face painting, the range of applications here extends.

What are the different types of stencils?

We offer you here a lot of stencils from different manufacturers as aids. Polyester is used as the stencil material. This is stable and easy to clean.
Basically, we have two types of stencils in sight:

Motif stencils and contour or pattern stencils

Motif stencils are, for example, airbrush tattoo stencils, face painting stencils and body art stencils.
With their help, you can apply a given, complete motif.

Contour and pattern templates give us even more freedom.
We create a contour for the eyebrows in Beauty MakeUp, or for a robot arm the contours of the "steel plates" in body painting.
With pattern stencils we paint certain areas and get structures and patterns on skin and hair.

Airbrush stencil make yourself

If you want to make your own stencils, you need, in addition to the motif idea, the right stencil material and the right tools.

A cutting mat and a cutter will help you here. The cutting mat forms the basis for your stencil workstation.

You can print the motif of your choice on paper, or draw it and stick it on the cutting mat with adhesive tape. Now stick the matching stencil film, such as Mylar, or Senjo stencil film over it and voila, the set is set up.

Now you can trace the conures with the cutter, or the electric stencil burner, and you're done!

Which colors do I use for the airbrush stencil?

Which colors you use with stencils depends on the motif and the background.
For the hair, you can use color hairspray, for example. The colors are alcohol-based and dry very quickly.
For airbrush tattoos, it is best to use alcohol-based tattoo paints (e.g. Senjo-Color INK), because they last longer.

For children's parties, you can also use water-based paints, such as Senjo-Color Basic. They take longer to dry than the alcohol paints, but they are safer for the children because they are cosmetic paints.

You can use all body paints for body painting. The rule here is that water-based paints dry more slowly than alcohol-based paints. Please be careful. Otherwise the freshly applied motifs could be smudged!

How and with what do I apply the colors?

For application, I can basically use airbrush, brush, or paint spray.
Depending on the size of the motif and the purpose, I choose the appropriate color and off I go.

Tattoo - Airbrush or Dab Brush
Bodypainting - Airbrush or Dab Brush
Hair Tattoo - Airbrush or Colorspray
Face Painting - Airbrush or Dab Brush
Beauty MakeUp - Airbrush, Makeup Brush or Sponge

Basically, the paint must not be too liquid and must not be sprayed or brushed in the direction of the stencil edges.
Here there is a risk that the paint runs under the edges and smears our motif!
